I’ve literally been waiting for this day all year. 800 YEARS SINCE MAGNA CARTA, FUCK YEAH.

I’m way too excited about this. I don’t even know what I’ll do to celebrate; probably nothing other than reblog a few posts about it.

(Although I’m excited because King John is one of my favorite historical figures and because this was a cool historical event, not because I think the Magna Carta was a cornerstone of democracy or something. Its importance in modern times as a symbol of freedom is very different from its actual impact at the time it was written.)
