During 1942, the citizens of Pascagoula, Mississippi were stalked by a “Phantom Barber”. He struck at night when the darkness was more profound due to the Army’s blackout regulations. He would cut an opening in the screen to a home and creep inside. Once inside he would cut the hair of the sleeping occupants, mainly blonde girls. The case remains a mystery.
