As a caterpillar the Brahmin Moth feeds on toxic plants, able to neutralize its toxins making it unpalatable to predators. Unlike many related moth families, adults of this group have well developed tongues and can drink allowing them to live much longer than the usual 7 days of many moths.
And it took me an hour to figure it out haha, but then I realized that once it’s created that doesn’t mean the page is there yet! You still have to go in and ‘make’ the page, and that any pages you want to be within that category you have to go edit that page and add the category TO the page not the other way around.
But here it is!
It’s only a category, not an article, so it’s more like a subheading to hold links to related topics. Still cool though. I mean before they had categories for 19th, 20th and 21st and then just ‘before 19th century’ which is so broad! Seemed right to have an 18th.
Next: 1) figure out Wikimedia Commons and add more material to the Wikimedia entry for 18th century in “LGBT history” (pictures, etc), 2) figure out how to do whatever is necessary with Wikidata, 3) and add more 18th century awesomeness to the actual super-long LGBT history page, fix some of the ‘citation needed’ parts, and also maybe some more organizing would be nice? I definitely want to get writing.
Wikipedia is so awesome :)
Awesome!
and i’m sure you know all about them better than I do, but here are some suggested pages to add.
